Enterprise PolaroidThe Enterprise & Skills Implementation Group comprise of members who contribute their knowledge and experience from both the public and private sectors on delivering projects and initiatives related to Enterprise & Skills.  The partners of the Implementation Group developed the Enterprise & Skills long term outcome of:   East Lothian has a sustainable and successful local economy through developing key local sectors and enhancing business performance.   

In order to achieve this outcome  local outcomes for Business, Tourism and Skills for Work were agreed based on priorities set by local business and community needs.    These are:

 Workforce skills developed to support business competitiveness

  • Improved sustainable business start-up rate.
  • Ensure key local sectors are responsive & resilient to growth (tourism, food & drink, social enterprise)
  • Exploit potential of renewable energy
  • Increased number of businesses undertaking growth development

 Partners carry out a range of projects and initiatives to achieve the above outcomes to benefit people across East Lothian.
