ENTERPRISE & SKILLS

Our ambitious new Economic Development Strategy 2012-22 sets out our expectations for East Lothian

"In 2020 East Lothian will have a dynamic and flourishing economy with our citizens proud to live, learn, work and pEnterprise Polaroidlay in East Lothian."

We have two strategic goals:

  • To increase the number of businesses in East Lothian with growth potential.
  • To increase the proportion of East Lothian residents working in and contributing to East Lothian's economy.

Partners work together to deliver six key areas of work:

  • Develop our key sectors: Tourism, Food _ Drink _ Renewables
  • Enhance our business infrastructure
  • Increase East Lothian's Profile
  • Improve connectivity
  • Energise our town centres
  • Develop more sustainable employment pathways
